Neither local team found much success going against the eight-time defending league champions on Saturday in the Moose Jaw High School Girls Soccer League.

The Central Cyclones dropped a 7-0 game to the Swift Current Ardens on Saturday morning, followed by the Vanier Spirits falling 8-0 to the Ardens in an afternoon match.

Swift Current improved to 6-0 on the year with the two wins, which locks up first place in the league for the Ardens with two regular season games remaining.

Vanier dropped to 2-2 on the year with the loss, while sits at 1-4 after back-to-back losses against Swift Current last week.

The girls soccer league is back on the field on Tuesday with Peacock heading to Swift Current and Vanier travelling to Weyburn.

The Moose Jaw High School Boys Soccer League has one game on tap for Monday afternoon with the Vanier Vikings going up against the Peacock Tornadoes at 4:30 p.m. at the Canada Games Field.
