The Saskatchewan Rush has pulled off an early morning trade ahead of the National Lacrosse League's trade deadline on Tuesday.

The Rush added veteran defenceman Scott Campbell from the Rochester Knighthawks in exchange for a second-round pick in 2022 and a conditional second-round pick in 2021.

"Scott's a nice addition to our defence,” said Rush General Manager and Head Coach Derek Keenan in a media release. “He's a veteran guy with a championship pedigree. He is a solid defender with a top-notch fitness level and he still brings very capable transition skills.”

Campbell is a 15-year NLL veteran, winning three consecutive championships from 2013-15. In seven games this season, Campbell has four goals and seven points.

In 211 career games, Campbell has 50 goals and 123 points to go along with 908 loose balls and 104 forced turnovers.

Campbell will make his debut with the Rush on Saturday when they welcome in the Buffalo Bandits to SaskTel Centre in Saskatoon.
