After one season with the Saskatchewan Rush, Adam Jones is on the move again.

The Rush dealt the forward to the Toronto Rock on Tuesday in exchange for first round picks in both the 2018 and 2019 NLL Draft.

“Decisions to move quality players out of the Rush organization are never easy,” stated Rush head coach and general manager Derek Keenan in a media release. “Trading Adam Jones is difficult. He performed at a high level for us, especially in the playoffs.

“However, we are always looking for long term stability and maintaining a championship calibre team for the long term.”

The Rush now hold three first round picks in both 2018 and 2019.

Jones was acquired by the Rush in a deal with the Colorado Mammoth last offseason for Zach Greer and a 2016 first round pick.

In 16 regular season games, Jones posted 26 goals and 57 points, while adding 13 goals and 19 points in four playoff games.

The 2017 NLL Draft is coming up on Sept. 18 in Toronto.
