Partnering together with the Saskatchewan government, Sask Sport is in the process of launching the second part of their campaign to bring awareness for the resources to address bullying, abuse, harassment and discrimination in sport.

This campaign is using social media to focus on the Respect Resource Line, a service where staff can provide support, resources and referrals for coaches, athletes and parents. The line is available through phone, text or email.

“There’s expertise from Respect Group, which manages the line, that really can help answer questions for people, and refer them to the appropriate spot,” explained Rob Kennedy, who is the manager of provincial sport development with Sask Sport.

The campaign will be focusing on three different platforms of social media, as a way to ensure the message can reach as many as possible within the province.

“We know that coaches and parents and athletes are not all on the same social media channels,” added Kennedy.

The Respect Resource line is available by calling (888) 329-4009, or by texting to (306) 717-9636.

As part of the campaign, posters are also being distributed to schools and recreation facilities across the province
