Moose Jaw's Marie Wright, Moose Gibson and Saskatchewan 1 came away with a split of their two games on Day 2 at the 2019 Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship.

They beat Quebec 2, 7-2, in the morning draw and then lost 7-3 to Ontario 1 in the afternoon. The split puts Saskatchewan 1 at 2-1 through two days in Boucherville, Que.

Donna Ackerman and Saskatchewan 2 are sitting at 1-1 after two games at nationals after picking up an 8-6 win over Nova Scotia on Saturday.

Saskatchewan 1 used a four-point fifth end to pull off their win over Quebec 2 in their morning game. It was a four-ender in the fifth for Ontario 1 that was the difference against Saskatchewan 1 in the afternoon draw.

For Saskatchewan 2, they got on a roll late in their game against Nova Scotia to pull out the close win.

Saskatchewan 2 and Nova Scotia traded deuces in the second and third ends. Saskatchewan 2 was able to take control with three in the fourth end, but Nova Scotia struck right back with four in the fifth.

That wasn't the end of Saskatchewan 2, however, as they chipped away at Nova Scotia's lead, scoring one in the sixth, then stealing one in the seventh and one more in the eighth.

Both teams are back on the ice on Sunday morning, Saskatchewan 1 takes on 1-1 British Columbia 2 and Saskatchewan 2 battles 3-0 Alberta at 8 a.m. Saskatchewan 2 will take on Ontario 2 in the afternoon draw at 1 p.m.
