SAN ANTONIO, TX -- Three wins in five games to open the weekend for the Saskatchewan Selects has the football program looking good heading into Sunday at the 2019 International Pigskin Classic.

The Varsity Selects won their second straight game, beating Mexico, 22-5, on Saturday afternoon to book their ticket back into the final. The Selects will face the host Alamo City Red Raiders for the championship on Sunday night for the second straight year.

The 14U Selects split their two games on Saturday, beating Score Mexico 9-0 in their opener and then falling to a talented South Texas Xtreme, 46-6, in their second game.  They will now play in the third-place game on Sunday against the Chihuahua Broncos out of Mexico.

The 12U Selects came out on the losing end against Score Mexico, falling 14-8 on Saturday. They will hit the field again on Sunday against the Abilene Hurricanes.

The 10U Selects rolled over the North Oak Cliff Eagles in their opening game of the tournament, getting three touchdowns from running back Brayden Wolf on their way to a 40-0 win.

The Selects will face the Lubbock Seminoles in the semifinal on Sunday morning.
