2020 Moose Jaw and District Sports Hall of Fame inductee John Hunter.The Moose Jaw and District Sports Hall of Fame announced that five athletes, two builders, one athlete/builder and one team will be inducted on Thursday morning. 

The inductions will be for the 2020 class, which was postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the 2021 class. 

Highlighting the 2020 induction class is the late Darcey Busse, who starred for the University of Saskatchewan Huskies volleyball team in the 80s, former NHL star Ed Staniowski. 

Also to be inducted into the class of 2020 were John Hunter (builder, hockey/baseball), Charlie Meacher (builder, baseball), Dave Pyle (builder, wrestling), and Marg (Curry) Sihvon (athlete, basketball). 

Meanwhile, to be inducted into the class of 2021 is golfer Lorie Boyle who has no fewer than 24 City Ladies Golf championships to her credit and Amber Holland’s 1992 curling team. 

Other inductees into the 2021 class include Frank Abdou (athlete/builder, wrestling) and Levi Steinhauer (athlete, football). 

The induction ceremony will be taking place in the fall of 2022.
