They were planning on opening this coming Monday BUT, they've pushed that back and are now reluctant to set a date.  The local Hillcrest Golf Club is gearing up for the new season but Mother Nature isn't cooperating right now. We'll keep you posted.

It's PLAYOFF SEASON!  Western Hockey League playoffs start Thursday night with Edmonton Oil Kings hosting the Lethbridge Hurricanes in game one of that series.  The Moose Jaw Warriors will welcome the Saskatoon Blades for games one and two on Friday and Saturday nights.Fans are wondering if injured captain Daemon Hunt will suit up.  We've asked.  The answer?  "No word yet on the injured guys."

Notre Dame Hounds - U-18 Triple "A" Hockey League champs.  The Hounds swept the Warman Wildcats in three straight with a 6-3 win last night on home ice.

In the NHL, the Vancouver Canucks are inching closer to a playoff berth.  They earned one point in a 4-3 shootout loss to Ottawa and now sit just 4 points behind Dallas for the 2nd wildcard spot.  Calgary lost in Nashville, 3-2 in a shootout.  Toronto Maple Leafs have won four straight.  They beat Philly 5-2 last night. Minnesota shutout Montreal 2-0 and the Rangers blanked Winnipeg 3-0, eliminating the Jets from playoff contention.

The Toronto Raptors are hoping a return to Scotiabank Arena will help them turn their first-round series around against Philadelphia.The 76ers posted two comfortable victories on their home court ahead of tonight's game 3. 

Toronto Blue Jays dropped a 2-1 decision in Boston.
