Calgary Stampeders running back Jon Cornish was fined an undisclosed amount by the CFL on Monday for his actions during the Stamps 30-25 loss to the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Sunday.

Cornish mooned Rider fans in the East Side stands at Mosaic Stadium at one point during the game, which led to the fine.

He issued an apology on Monday saying, "I want to apologize to coach (Hufnagel), all the coaches, my teammates, all the Stampeders fans and Stampeders organization and to the Riders fans and organization.  It was an extreme lack of judgment on my part and I apologize to everyone in the CFL and to the commissioner. Nobody deserves to deal with this and I apologize to everyone involved."

Cornish had been the centre of Riders head coach Corey Chamblin's guarantee heading into the game with Chamblin stating that Cornish wouldn't go over 100-yards rushing, which he didn't instead being held to just 67 yards.
