Team Canada has touched down in Ufa, Russia on Sunday for the start of the 2013 World Junior Hockey Championships coming up on Wednesday.

Canada went 1-1 during Pre-Competition action in Finland, winning their finale, 2-1, in a shootout win over Sweden.  That came after a 3-2 loss to Finland on Thursday in their first game.

A decision is expected to be made by the IIHF before the December 25th roster deadline on Boone Jenner after he was given a five-minute major for charging and a game misconduct against Sweden.

There has already been one roster move made by Canada since going over to Europe as forward Charles Hudon was sent home with a lower back injury and Prince Albert Raider Mark McNeill joined the team.

Canada opens the World Juniors against Germany on Boxing Day morning at 3:30am.
