Stick taps for this year's hockey hall of fame induction dinner.
In a Thursday press release, the Ted Knight Saskatchewan Hockey Hall of Fame and the Yorkton organizing committee for this year's dinner announced they were postponing the event into 2021.
Originally scheduled for July 24th, it was felt that concerns over COVID-19's effect on the economy would hinder the host city's ability to generate ticket sales and corporate sponsorships, ultimately hampering their ability to put on a world class event.
The 2020 class of inductees, as well as the host city of Yorkton, will instead be carried forward into the new year.
Seven individuals and two teams are being inducted in this year's class.
