The make-shift high school spring football league was not what players had imagined for their senior year, but the season went better than most expected.

The game started grim for the Moose Jaw Marauders with the Yorkton Raiders taking a 22-0 lead in the first half.

The Marauders showed lots of promise in the second half, tying the game 29-29, forcing overtime.

The Raiders took the game with a one-point victory of 37-36 to end off the season.

Head coach of the Marauders, Colin Belsher, says there were a lot of highs and lows in the game.

"One of the things I mentioned to the kids at the half, mentally I thought that was one of the worst games I've been a part of, in terms of mental mistakes," says Belsher.

"Coming out in the second half and really making no mental mistakes, it was a tale of two halves."

Belsher says the defensive side of the team really helped secure the win.
