Moose Jaw Warriors forward Brayden Tracey will be in Saskatoon tonight to help Team WHL against a team of Russian selects in the 2019 CIBC Canada-Russia Series.

It's the last showcase before Team Canada's selection camp for the world juniors in December.

Tracey is a former member of the national U18 team that played in the world championships. Before leaving, Tracey talked about what it feels like to play with the best in the country.

"When you're with the top players in your country, obviously if you make that jump and wear that jersey, obviously it's an unbelievable feeling," he said. "I've been honoured to wear that before and it would be a dream come true if I cracked this squad."

Playing with the top players against the Russians is a good chance for them to get a look at what that coulntry will potentially be bringing to the world junior tournament next month in the Czech Republic, but also to connect with the best tournament-age players in the WHL.

"With the world juniors, if a couple of us make it, we'll have that bond," he said. "I think we'll have a good time."

Puck drops at 7:30 Wednesday night in Saskatoon, and the same time in Prince Albert tomorrow.

Tracey will also be on team WHL for a game in Prince Albert tomorrow.
