The Moose Jaw Bantam AA Warriors had a comeback fall just short on Thursday night.

The Warriors fell 3-2 to the Notre Dame Hounds at the Bert Hunt Arena in Saskatchewan AA Hockey League.

Notre Dame built up a 3-0 lead over the first two periods, but a power-play goal from Hunter Bowes late in the second got Moose Jaw on the board and gave them some momentum heading into the third.

Leading-scorer Chase Jocelyn pulled the Warriors within one, scoring on the power play with 7:05 to play, but Moose Jaw couldn't find the equalizer to end the game.

Goalie Brady Bourdeau turned away 28-of-31 shots in the loss, while Moose Jaw went 2-for-6 on the power play and 7-for-7 on the penalty kill.

The Warriors sit at 0-9-0-1 this season. They're off until Dec. 4 when they travel to Regina to take on the Aces.

In other local minor hockey action on Thursday, the Bantam A Warriors lost 4-2 to the Shamrocks in Regina.

Jacob King and Hayden Hudyma scored for Moose Jaw as they built up a 2-0 lead after two periods, but the Shamrocks scored four times in the third to steal away the win.

Kayden Gusa took the loss in goal for the Warriors.

Moose Jaw will head back into Regina on Sunday night to square off with the Cougars. Puck drops at 7 p.m. at the Al Ritchie Arena.
