The Moose Jaw Storm under-14 boys squad had a great weekend on their home turf and will be looking to finish it off over the next two days.

The Storm went 2-0 in their first two round robin games at the 2014 Soccer For Life Outdoor Youth Soccer Provincial Championship, putting themselves in control of their own destiny.

Moose Jaw knocked off the AC Pumas Red 2-0 on Saturday night to open the round robin on a strong note. They followed that up with a 2-1 win over the SUSC Spartans on Sunday to keep them undefeated.

That sets up a big game on Monday afternoon against Swift Current United with a win putting Moose Jaw into the semifinal on Tuesday. They hit the field at 3:15pm. All the action is going at Smith Field on South Hill.

The Storm under-16 boys are also on the field on Monday, wrapping up the round robin against the Humboldt Hurricanes. A win and the Storm are into the provincial semifinal. That games goes, 11:30am at Smith Field.

Moose Jaw lost 2-0 to the Lakewood Falcons on Saturday and 3-1 to Swift Current United on Sunday to sit at 0-2 so far.

The Storm under-14 girls dropped both games on Sunday in a two-game total point provincial final against Unidad, falling 3-0 and 3-1 to finish second overall in the province.
