The U12 A Ice girls fastball team were crowned provincial champions over the weekend.

During the round robin, the Ice held a record of 3-1. The lone loss came to the Regina Lazers in extra innings with the Lazers coming from behind to pick up the win. The game against the Lazers had no playoff implications for the Ice as they rested many of their starters and were able to give extra playing time for the bench players.

Sunday's matchup against the Lazers would see the winner get a bye straight into the championship final. The Ice would win 7-1 in six innings before the game was called because of the mercy rule.

In the championship final, the Ice would once again ace the Lazers for the third game in a row and the Moose Jaw girls' bats came alive went it mattered the most.

The Ice pitching kept the Lazers to only three runs over five innings. The Ice would go on to win 14-3 with the game being called after the fifth inning because of the mercy rule.

In the playoffs, the girls defeated the Lazers but came up short in the gold medal game.
