Brett Howden was able to one up his older brother last week, winning a gold medal with Team Canada at the 2018 IIHF World Junior Championship.

After winning silver and bronze medals with Canada at the World Juniors, Quinton Howden will now have a chance to win an Olympic gold medal.

The elder Howden was one of 25 players named to Canada’s Olympic men’s hockey team on Thursday by Hockey Canada.

After five seasons split between the National Hockey League and American Hockey League, Howden has moved to the KHL this season. He has 15 goals and 29 points in 49 games with the Minsk Dynamo.

In 97 career NHL games with the Florida Panthers and Winnipeg Jets, Howden registered ten goals and 17 points.

During his four-year career with the Warriors, Howden posted 111 goals and 239 points in 244 games.

The men’s hockey tournament at the 2018 Winter Olympics runs from Feb. 14-25.
