The Moose Jaw Warriors announced their captain will not be playing the rest of the season.

Owen Hardy, picked up an upper body injury against Portland on their US division trip.

Hardy is the team leader in goals with 22 this season - a career high - and had 11 assists for 33 points in 42 games.

Hardy was traded tot he Warriors on Oct. 4 from the Vancouver Giants for a conditional sixth round selection in 2022 or 2023. He had played 233 games with the Giants organization.

Last season with Vancouver he had nine goals and 12 assists for 21 points in 64 games, but significantly bumped up his production in an increased offensive role with the Warriors.
