The confidence is high for the Moose Jaw Warriors as they prepare to return to home ice at Mosaic Place.

Riding a two-game winning streak, the Tribe welcomes in the Swift Current Broncos on Wednesday to kick-off a stretch of three division games over the next four nights.

The Warriors are coming off a three-game Central Division road trip that saw them pick up big wins in Calgary and Edmonton. Over the course of the trek, the Warriors learnt some key lessons that they're hoping they can take forward for the rest of the season.

“We learned that we can score a lot of goals, we've got a lot of skill on this team and maybe in Kootenay it wasn't going our way, we had lots of chances, but in that Calgary game, we really capitalized,” said forward Noah Gregor.

“Then in Edmonton, we really learned that we have to stay competing for the full sixty. We were all over them for the first two periods and then let them back in it in the third, so we just need to keep on that work ethic going into Wednesday's game.”

The Warriors hadn't won in Calgary since the 2011-12 season, a stretch of seven games, and they also won for the second straight time at Rexall Place, the first time that's happened since 2007-08.

Now returning home, the Warriors will look to keep that momentum going.

“It was good to win against top teams like that and we're looking forward to keeping that going,” said Gregor.

Wednesday night brings the Broncos to Mosaic Place for the first meeting between the two East Division rivals. Swift Current comes in on a two-game losing skid, but the Broncos bring a highly skilled top line.

Overage forward Jon Martin is tied for the league lead in scoring with 19 points, his 11 goals surpasses his previous career-high in just ten games.

Martin, Jake DeBrusk and Glenn Gawdin have accounted for 17 of the Broncos' 30 goals this season.

“They have some skill up front, but we're not really sure how strong their defence and goalie is, but we'll watch some film before the game on Wednesday and see how that goes,” said Gregor.

“We'll obviously focus on the Martin line and not let them have too much time with the puck, but we have four lines that can play against them.”

Gregor has gotten hot for the Warriors with two goals and four points in his past two games. He has four goals and 11 points in nine games this season.

Brayden Point continues to lead the charge for the Warriors, he sits one point back of Martin for the league-lead with nine goals and 18 points in just seven games. Dryden Hunt is right behind him with five goals and 16 points in nine games.

The Warriors and Broncos will hit the ice at 7:00pm on Wednesday night. You can catch all the action live on Country 100 with Western Nissan Warriors Hockey, starting with the Pre-Game Show at 6:40pm.
