The Moose Jaw Warriors announced details of their training camp.

Registration for camp starts at 6 p.m. tonight.

Tomorrow, players go for fitness testing at Yara Centre in the morning and in the afternoon, there will be rookie camp practices. Rookie camp scrimmages go Thursday afternoon

Following the final rookie game Friday night at 7 p.m., players will move on to main camp.

Main camp starts Saturday with scrimmages at 10 a.m. and 4 p.m., and then at 10 a.m. Sunday.

Then, there will be the annual black and white intersquad game at 4 p.m. Sunday.

Admission to the black and white game will be by donation, with the proceeds going to the Canadian Mental Health Association in memory of Ethan Williams.

There are 88 players this year, including six goaltenders, 29 defencemen and 53 forwards.

Fifteen players return from last year's team, which lost to the Saskatoon Blades in the first round of the playoffs.

Thirty two of the players are from Saskatchewan, including five from Moose Jaw.

One of the players who won’t be at camp is the import goaltender they drafted in the off-season.

Swedish netminder Jesper Wallstedt has decided to stay in his home country this season and play with a junior team there.

On social media, Warriors general manager Alan Millar said they look forward to staying in contact with Jesper and his family on his future plans and goals in the game.
