The no-quit Moose Jaw Warriors showed up again on Friday night in the Bridge City.

Saskatoon scored twice early but the Warriors chipped away at the lead, scoring the last three goals of the game and they went on to a 3-2 win over the Blades on Friday at SaskTel Centre.

Brayden Tracey scored the game-winning goal with 10:23 to go in regulation, Tristin Langan picked up a goal and three points and Brodan Salmond made 33 saves in the win.

The first half of the opening period was tight as the teams fought for their ice in the attacking zone.

Saskatoon picked up the game's first goal at 4:31 when Kirby Dach led a rush across the Warriors' line and tossed it towards the net where Eric Florchuk deflected it past Salmond.

The Blades increased their lead at 9:29 when the Warriors missed a defensive assignment inside their zone, which allowed Saskatoon to set up Josh Paterson for an empty net shot on the right side of the crease.

Moose Jaw was outshot 6-2 in the first half of the period but they picked up the pace in the second half of the period and ended up with a 12-8 advantage on the shot clock.

At 12:28, the Warriors created a turnover in the neutral zone and came across the Saskatoon line with speed, Jett Woo took a shot from the right circle, the rebound went off of Luke Ormsby on the left wing where he knocked in his fifth of the season and second in two games with the Warriors to make it 2-1.

The second period picked up where the first left off, with a fast-paced, tight hockey game. As the teams exchanged opportunities throughout the frame, it was the Warriors who capitalized.

On the power play with under five minutes left, Woo broke up a Blades clearing attempt at the Saskatoon blue-line. He dished the puck off to Justin Almeida at the left circle, who then returned the puck to Woo on top of the right circle. Woo put a hard pass along the ice towards the top of the Saskatoon crease where Langan deflected in his team-leading 20th goal of the season.

Moose Jaw had to dig down deep to end the second period as they got into penalty trouble. With 1:40 to go in the frame, the Warriors picked up back-to-back penalties, which resulted in 1:48 of a two-man advantage for Saskatoon.

As Saskatoon looked to collapse the zone on the power play, they set up multiple one-timers which Salmond turned away to keep the game tied.

The game remained tied until the mid-way point of the third period when the Warriors found themselves back on the man advantage, Josh Brook moved the puck from the top of the right circle to the goal line for Langan, who then made a quick pass to Tracey just inside right hashmark where he put a shot past the blocker of Nolan Maier to give the Warriors their first lead.

Saskatoon fought hard for the rest of regulation as they searched desperately for an equalizer but Salmond made 14 saves in the third period and 33 in the game to lead the Warriors to the narrow road win.

Woo picked up two assists in the win for the Warriors.

Moose Jaw was 2-for-3 on the power play and 5-for-5 on the penalty kill.

The win improves the Warriors record to 16-6-4-1, they're now tied for second in the East Division with Saskatoon and also have three games in-hand.

These two teams will meet again on Saturday for a seven o'clock puck drop back at Mosaic Place. Tickets are available at the Mosaic Place Box Office or at www.mjwarriors.ca.  You can also catch the game on Country 100, starting with the Pre-Game Show at 6:40 p.m.
