Adam Evanoff put on a show in the Moose Jaw Warriors net, as he led them to a 3-1 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings on Friday night at Rogers Place.

Evanoff made 35 saves to backstop the Warriors to their seventh straight win and their ninth consecutive game with points.

Brayden Tracey, Yegor Buyalski, and Justin Almeida scored three unanswered goals for the Warriors in the win, while Tristin Langan had two assists.

In the first period, the Warriors did a good job creating neutral zone turnovers but unfortunately, they weren't able to capitalize as the Oil Kings did a good job defensively to limit Moose Jaw to just five shots in the period.

Edmonton, on the other hand, was able to get on the scoreboard at 15:17, when Brett Kemp got a piece of the puck between the circles and bounced it over the goal line for a power play goal.

Down a goal to start the second period, the Warriors made good in-game adjustments, which allowed them to have a more consistent presence inside the Edmonton line.

At 10:55, Langan, the Warriors' leading scorer, led a rush across the Edmonton line and then set up Tracey on the right wing, where he put in his ninth of the season.

Just under three minutes later at 13:22, the Warriors took a 2-1 lead when Peyton McKenzie charged across the Edmonton line on the left wing set up Buyalski driving the net where he scored his fifth of the year.  The assist was McKenzie's first WHL point in his first WHL game.

Just under three minutes into the third period, the Warriors extended their lead, Jett Woo took a shot from the top of the right circle, the puck was deflected by Almeida and his fifth of the year gave Moose Jaw a two-goal lead.

Edmonton pushed hard to get back into the game, they outshot the Warriors 14-4 in the final period, but Evanoff battled in his crease to keep the Oil Kings off the board.

Moose Jaw was outshot 36-22 and they were 0-for-2 on the power play and 0-for-1 on the penalty kill.

The Warriors' weekend road trip continues on Saturday in Red Deer where they'll take on the Rebels for the second time this year. You catch all the action on Country 100 starting with the Pre-Game Show at 7:40 p.m.
