The Moose Jaw Warriors have sent American-born goaltender Brock Gould to the Portland Winterhawks for a conditional pick in 2023.

In a release on the Warriors' social media, general manager Alan Millar said that with the current border restrictions, the team felt it was best to move Gould to the U.S. Division, and that an opportunity for him to play was the priority.

Gould was acquired by the Warriors as part of the deal that sent Brayden Tracey and Adam Evanoff to the Victoria Royals, in exchange for Gould, Nolan Jones and Logan Doust.

Gould played in 16 games with the Warriors in 2019-20 after the trade, getting a 5.75 goals against average and a 1-10-2 record. He played 48 games with the Royals over a season and a half.
