Nothing improves the confidence of a team like a win, and the Warriors are coming off a win in their most recent game.

Forward Jadon Joseph has been with the team since the beginning of the year, through the five game winning streak and the six game winless slump. Their 5-4 overtime win in Saskatoon Sunday is helpful for maintaining that level of confidence teams need.

“It helps a lot, especially when you’re kinda in the rut that we were in before,” said Joseph. “But that was a good team we went up against. We were able to get two points from the overtime and that’s huge for us.”

If it's intensity and determination you want, few on the ice bring it like Joseph.

Joseph leads the team with seven goals and he's been a consistent thorn in the side of the opposition in his 13 games with the Warriors.

Forward Carson Denomie has been paired up with Joseph for a few games now and appreciates how good Joseph is.

“He’s definitely been around the league a long time and he’s definitely got a lot of tricks up his sleeve,” Denomie said. “I’ve got a lot of things to learn from him. It’s awesome playing with him. He’s very solid, he limits his mistakes and he’s a pleasure to play with.”

Just after arriving here, Joseph noted the talent up and down the team’s roster.

“You can call it a rebuild, but honestly, coming in and looking at what we had,” he said last month. “We have young guys, but they’re skilled young guys. They’re not average young players. They’re going to be very good in the future, and they’re proving that right now. There’s no reason to doubt us moving forward, and no reason to doubt us going forward. We are good enough, and we know we’re good enough and we’re just going to keep proving it.

The Warriors face the Red Deer Rebels tonight at Mosaic Place, and Saturday, the Prince Albert Raiders come to town.
