The boys in black are riding high to start the new week after picking up three straight wins last week.  All three wins for the Moose Jaw Warriors last week came against East Division rivals Prince Albert, Brandon, and Regina.

The Warriors penalty kill allowed one goal in 13 attempts, while the power play was an amazing 6-for-15.

Assistant coach Mike Vandenberghe says special teams has played a huge role in their current success, "Guys are starting to buy into what we're doing and now we're having success with it.  They're starting to understand how we want it to be played and what the structure is.

"On the other side with the powerplay, you've got to get pucks to the net and you've got to get those rebounds and you've got to score.  You can win a lot more games with your special teams then you can lose them."

The games on the weekend also saw the debut for new forwards Justin Kirsch and Kenton Miller, and Vandenberghe says they liked what they saw, "Kirsch had two beautiful goals, but Kenton, he's just going to get better and better for us, winning draws, being more comfortable with our penalty kill and playing those situations as a twenty year old centre like in the last minute of the game, that's his kind of role."

The Warriors have the rest of the week off to get ready for games coming up on the weekend against Saskatoon and Calgary Friday and Sunday at Mosaic Place.
