The first period was tight at the teams battled for positioning in all three zones.

In the second period, the game remained tight as the teams continued to fight for their opportunities.

At 6:31, the Warriors won a battle deep in their zone along the boards, but the puck wasn’t cleared at the blue-line, which allowed Cale Fleury to get a shot away, Emil Oksanen scored on the rebound to tie the game at one.

Three minutes later and playing 4-on-4, the Warriors pushed towards the Pats net, but weren’t able to convert, Regina jumped on a loose puck and raced up the ice, where they finished the drive with a goal from Sam Steel.

Moose Jaw fought back late in the second period and with just 15 seconds left in the frame, Halbgewachs jumped on a neutral zone turnover and swung it to the right wing for Vince Loschiavo, who then snapped the puck towards the net, where Howden directed in his 21st goal to tie the game at two.

Midway through the third period, the Pats took the lead after winning a face-off in the left circle and working the puck to Fleury at the right point for a shot in to traffic that beat Brody Willms on his blocker side.

Less than a minute later, Regina extended their lead with a Matt Bradley goal, which put Moose Jaw’s back against the wall.

The Warriors tried to fight back, but couldn’t get back in the game and took a 4-2 loss to move their record to 43-11-1-2.

Halbgewachs and Howden had a goal and two points each, while Willms made 22 saves. Moose Jaw was 1-for-5 on the power play and 4-for-4 on the penalty kill.

With the two points Halbgewachs brought his season total to 101, making him the second Warrior in franchise to record multiple 100+ point seasons since Theoren Fleury had 100+ points from 1985-88.
