Warriors General Manager Alan Miller and Defenceman Daemon Hunt are finally on their last day of quarantine in Red Deer, Alberta, after two cases of COVID-19 were discovered at Hockey Canada's junior selection camp.

Miller says morale has stayed high but they're glad they are at the end.

"As a group, we feel pretty good. Everyone's been engaged in the safety protocols. So I'm really proud of our group and I know our players will be excited to get out of their rooms tomorrow morning and get back on the ice."

While this put a bit of a damper on the selection camp, Miller says they should still have enough time to finish up the final 25 player roster for the championships later this week. He's confident that Team Canada will be in a good spot to defend their gold medal win from last year.

"We have a lot of good players here. This [isolation] doesn't change our expectations one bit. We'll have good preparations leading into our pre-comp games before Christmas and we'll be ready for Germany on Boxing Day."

As for the World Juniors, Miller hopes they can follow the example of the NHL which had no positive cases throughout it's 2020 season.

"We've got ten countries coming into the Edmonton bubble, and the bubble is completely locked down. We're in the same building that the NHL played in and the protocols match what the NHL did with tremendous success."
