The Moose Jaw Warriors have plucked forward Brad Ginnell off the waiver wire.

The 6'1 170-pound 20-year-old forward scored 13 goals and 10 assists last season in 50 games with Spokane and Winnipeg.

He had 41 points two seasons ago with the Kootenay Ice, getting 62 penalty minutes as well.

Ginnell was acquired by the Chiefs in January for a pair of bantam draft picks. His father Erin Ginnell is a former Regina Pat and Swift Current Bronco and a current scout for the Vegas Golden Knights, while his grandfather Pat Ginnell was one of the all-time winningest coaches in WHL history.

Ginnell was originally a fifth-round draft pick in 2015 by the Portland Winter Hawks.
