15-year-old goalie Brett Mirwald has committed to the Moose Jaw Warriors.

The Saskatoon product signed his WHL Standard Player Agreement on Tuesday. He was originally a seventh-round selection by the Warriors in the 2018 WHL Bantam Draft.

"We are very pleased that Brett and his family have committed to the Warriors and the Western Hockey League for both his hockey and academic goals," said Warriors GM Alan Millar on mjwarriors.ca.

"Brett plays a start, solid game, and competes hard in the net," Millar added. "He is having an excellent rookie season with the Saskatoon Blazers."

Mirwald has a 14-2-0 record in 17 appearances this season with the Blazers in the Saskatchewan Midget AAA Hockey League. He has a 2.11 goals against average and a 0.91 save percentage with three shutouts.

The Warriors selected five-foot-10, 157-pound goalie with the 154th pick in the 2018 bantam draft.

Mirwald joins 20-year-old Brodan Salmond, 18-year-old Adam Evanoff and 16-year-old Jackson Berry in the Warriors' goalie depth chart.
