Moose Jaw Warriors General Manager Jason Ripplinger is excited to announce that import forwards Robert Baco and Martin Rysavy have committed to the Warriors and the Western Hockey League with the signing of a standard player agreement.

“We are very excited to add two top-6 forwards to our program,” commented General Manager Jason Ripplinger. “Martin and Robert are skilled players who play a heavy game. Welcoming them to our organization will give us the chance to compete as we push forward and battle for a playoff spot.”

Rysavy (LW), 6’3”, 180lbs, is from Prerov, Czech Republic and was the 6th overall pick in the 1st round of the 2020 CHL Import Draft. The 18-year-old spent last season with HC Prerov and had three goals, six assists, and nine points in 19 games. At the 2021 IIHF World Under-18 Championship, he played for the Czech Republic and had two goals and three points in five games.

Rysavy was drafted by the Columbus Blue Jackets in the 7th round, 197th overall, of the 2021 NHL Entry Draft.

Baco (RW), 6’3”, 210lbs, is from Kosice, Slovakia and was selected in the 1st round, 50th overall, during the 2021 CHL Import Draft. The 18-year-old played in the Czech Republic last season with Karlovy Vary U20 and had two goals, four assists, and six points in nine games. He also played in six international games with Slovakia last year and had two goals, two assists, and four points.
