Ryder Korczak and Brayden Tracey combined for four goals and seven points in Sunday’s 5-4 overtime win over the Saskatoon Blades at SaskTel Centre, for the Warriors' first win in seven games.

In the opening stages of the first period, it took some time for both teams so get going but as the period continued, they both found their legs.

Just passed the seven-minute mark, the Warriors had a face-off in the Saskatoon right circle.

Ryder Korczak won the draw by poking it around the Blade centre, he quickly retrieved the puck and played it through the legs of a Saskatoon defenceman to Brayden Tracey on the left wing where he put a quick shot through the legs of Nolan Maier.

With under seven minutes left in the period, the Warriors were winning battles in the Saskatoon zone and setting up quality scoring chances but they were not able to convert.  Saskatoon was able to clear the puck down the ice where Chase Wouters grabbed it on the left wing and then skated to the circle and put a shot past Bailey Brkin to tie the game at one.

Two minutes later at 15:04 the Warriors controlled the puck in the Saskatoon zone while working on a man-advantage.

Carson Denomie had the puck in the left circle and made a pass attempt to Brayden Tracey along the right goal line.  The Blades broke up the pass but Tracey quickly stole the puck away from them and jammed in his second of the period and third of the season to give the Warriors a 2-1 lead.

Moose Jaw had a power-play carry over from the first period and they capitalized 26 seconds into the second period.

Brayden Tracey rushed through the middle of the ice to the Saskatoon blueline and then swung puck to the Ryder Korczak on the right wing.  Korczak drove around the Blades defenceman and when he got to the bottom of the right circle, he dished the puck back to Tracey on top of the crease, his hat-trick goal gave the Warriors a 3-1 lead.

Saskatoon pulled to within one at 7:12 on Chase Wouters second goal of the game, and then at 11:51, they tied the game at three with a goal from Riley McKay.

McKay struck again five minutes into the third period when he scored on a breakaway, giving Saskatoon their first lead of the game.

Moose Jaw fought their way back into the game with four and a half minutes left in regulation.

Calder Anderson swung the puck from the Warriors zone to Bryden Kiesman inside the neutral zone.  Kiesman burst down the right Saskatoon boards and then cut to the net, finishing the drive with a shot past the blocker Nolan Maier, his first WHL goal tied the game four.

The rest of regulation did not produce winner, which meant for the second time in the last three games, the Warriors headed to overtime.

Twenty Eight seconds into the extra period, Brayden Tracey and Ryder Korczak came up the ice on an odd-man rush.

Tracey handled the puck on the left wing and then dished it off to Korczak inside the Blades right circle, he put a shot past the blocker of Maier, his sixth goal of the season gave the Warriors the 5-4 win.

Tracey finished with three goals and four points and Korczak had a goal and three points.

Moose Jaw was 2-for-4 on the power-play and 2-for-2 on the penalty kill.
