The Warriors look to be a more consistent team in the 2nd half of the season

Lose five in a row Win three in a row.  It's been that kind of season so far for the Moose Jaw Warriors.  Win a few, then lose a few more was a pattern that shows up in their 15-17-2-1 record at the Christmas break.

Warriors assistant coach Mark O'Leary says if he could sum up the first half with one word, that word would be "inconsistent".

"You mean that (inconsistent) in the most positive sense, " assistant coach Mark O'Leary says.  "I think we did a lot of really good things and there's definite growth there from the start of the year. The inconsistencies for sure, but there are a lot of positives."

The Warriors will get back to game action this weekend with a home and home against the Brandon Wheat Kings.

O'Leary believes the team can be a factor in the 2nd half of the season. "We're right there in the thick of things and there's opportunity there in the second half, for sure."

The Warriors host the Wheat Kings Saturday at Mosaic Place, 7pm, before heading to Brandon for a Sunday afternoon game at 4 Saskatchewan time.
