It's only Thursday and already the Moose Jaw Warriors have put in a couple of long days at practice this week.

They're gearing up for a pair of weekend games, starting with tomorrow night against the Calgary Hitmen. Forward Jadon Joseph said they worked on certain aspects of their game.

“This week of practice, we’ve been focusing on our little mistakes we’ve been making during the games,” he said. “We feel those little key areas in the D zone have been costing us a little bit, and these little combobulated passes we make, we find are killing us.”

An over-age forward, Joseph has seven goals and five assists in 11 games with the Warriors this season.

Joseph said the onus is on he and the rest of the top six to get the Warriors out of that slump.

“We have to get ourselves out of this slump,” he said. “It starts with us. It starts with the older guys and then it goes down. So if we’re working hard, it’ll just go down to our young guys. So we’re taking ownership too. And if we can get back on track, starting with us, we should be good going into this weekend. Then we should be good going into this weekend."

Puck drops tomorrow at 7 p.m. at Mosaic Place. Catch all the action starting with the pre-game show with voice of the Warriors James Gallo, starting at 6:40 p.m.

They also take on the Saskatoon Blades Sunday at 2 p.m.
