Daryl Pisio of the Moose Jaw Miller Express was named East Division executive of the year in the Western Canadian Baseball League.

The league had its meetings over the weekend in Lethbridge and they released their list of award winners and all-stars. There were no members of the Express on the first or second all star teams.

Another announcement coming from WCBL on the meetings were the one year leaves of absence that was granted to the Melville Millionaires and Yorkton Cardinals. The league said those teams will take the leave of absence to 'Work to improve their baseball operations and financial structures."

Yorkton went 6-50 last year while Melville were 17-39.

The Medicine Hat Mavericks will move into the east division for the 2020 season with the league maintaining a two- division alignment. The East Division as of now includes Moose Jaw, Regina, Swift Current, Weyburn and Medicine Hat, while the West has Okotoks, Lethbridge, Edmonton, Fort McMurray and Brooks.
