The Moose Jaw High School Junior Girls Volleyball League hit the court for games at three schools on Wednesday night.

At Riverview, the Peacock Green Toilers went 4-1 to lead the pack in the three-team round robin, while the host Royals were 3-2 and the Central Gold Cyclones posted a 0-4 record.

In the opening match, Riverview/Mortlach rolled to a two-set win (25-15, 25-17) over Central Gold. Peacock Green cruised past Central Gold in two sets (25-10, 25-11) in the next match to set up a showdown in the third match.

Peacock Green came away with a hard-fought three-set win (25-20, 21-25, 20-18).

The Peacock Orange Toilers hosted action on their home court on Wednesday and the Central Butte Bulldogs carried the show with a 6-0 record in the four-team round robin.

Central Butte started the night with a two-set win (25-11, 25-19) over Peacock Orange; they needed just two sets (26-24, 25-12) to get past the Central Red Cyclones in their second match and then finished their night with a two-set win (25-10, 25-21) over the B.C.A. Cougars.

Central Red put together a 4-2 record on the night with two-set wins over Peacock Orange (25-22, 25-17) and B.C.A. (25-5, 25-20).

Peacock Orange lost in two sets to Central Butte and Central Red, but they won in two sets over B.C.A. (25-18, 25-10) to go 2-4. The Cougars finished 0-6 on the night.

Out in Avonlea, the host Eagles put together a strong night with a 4-2 record in their three-team round robin against the Vanier Spirits and Rouleau Rebels.

Avonlea and Vanier opened the night with a three-set battle with the Eagles coming out on top in the end (25-12, 21-25, 17-15).

Vanier went on to beat Rouleau in a tight two-set match (25-22, 25-23) in the second match of the night.

The Eagles finished things off with another three-set win (25-13, 23-25, 15-13) over the Rebels to end the night.
