The Moose Jaw High School Junior Basketball League was back on the court for four games on Wednesday night.

The Riverview Royals secured their first win of the season, beating the Peacock Orange Toilers, 47-43, during junior girls action. Riverview improves to 1-4 this season, while Peacock Orange falls to 0-5.

The Royals were led by Eden Graves, who scored 16 points in the win. Jaycee M. scored 10 points for the Orange Toilers in the loss.

The other girls’ game saw the Peacock Green Toilers pull out a 48-29 win over the Vanier Spirits in a battle of the junior girls' division’s top two teams. Peacock Green is now 4-2, while Vanier falls to 3-2.

Over on the boys’ side, the Central Gold Cyclones picked up a big 78-56 home win over the Peacock Green Toilers in a battle of two undefeated teams. Central Gold moves into sole possession in first place at 5-0, while Peacock Green drops to 4-1.

Jake McLean scored a game-high 24 points for Central Gold in the win.

Also, the Peacock Orange Toilers travelled down to Assiniboia and lost 53-39 to the Rockets. Assiniboia improves to 1-3, while Peacock Orange drops down to 0-6.

Jordan McPherson picked up 14 points in the loss for Peacock Orange, while Jesse Jwell led all scorers with 23 points in the win for Assiniboia
