Ten teams were on volleyball courts around Moose Jaw on Wednesday night in the High School Junior Girls Volleyball League.

This was the final league night of the regular season, as the Junior Varsity Championship will be held next Tuesday and the Junior Girls Championship goes on Thursday.

At Central, the Gold Cyclones hosted a four-team round robin with the Vanier Spirits leading the pack with a 4-2 record on the night.

Vanier split in two sets against the Briercrest Christian Academy Cougars (25-18, 23-25) and the Peacock Green Toilers (25-16, 24-26), but they won in both sets (25-19, 25-22) against the host Gold Cyclones.

Peacock and Central were both 3-3 on the night, including splitting their two sets to open the night with the Green Toilers winning 25-21 in the first set and the Gold Cyclones taking the second set, 25-23.

The Cougars finished 2-4 on the night, they split against Peacock, winning 27-25 and losing 25-12, and dropped both sets (25-21, 27-25) against Central.

Over at Peacock, the Cental Butte Bulldogs put together a perfect night in the three-team round robin.

The Bulldogs went 4-0 on the night, beating the Peacock Orange Toilers in two sets (25-11, 25-16) and the Rouleau Rebels in two sets (25-14, 25-13).

Peacock Orange secured the win in the other match against Rouleau, winning 26-24 and 25-21.

The Central Red Cyclones finished undefeated on the night with a pair of straight set wins at Riverview Collegiate on Wednesday.

Central topped the host Royals in two sets (25-23, 25-20) and the Avonlea Eagles in two sets (25-19, 25-18).

Avonlea knocked off Riverview/Mortlach in two sets (25-15, 25-14) in the other game to finish 2-2, while the Royals went 0-4.
