The Moose Jaw Peewee AA Warriors went on a wild ride during their meeting with the Weyburn Wings on Sunday afternoon.

The Warriors ended up skating to a 5-5 tie against the Wings at the Kinsmen Arena, which puts Moose Jaw's record at 3-7-3 this season in the Saskatchewan AA Hockey League.

Weyburn jumped out to a 3-0 lead in the first period before Aiden MacDonald scored a power-play goal with 3:45 left in the frame to get Moose Jaw on the board.

The Warriors picked up goals from Bryson Aikens and Chance Cole just 43 seconds apart in the second period to tie the game, but Silas Stein answered for Weyburn just 40 seconds after Cole’s goal to put the Wings back in front.

Bryce Boughen tied the game for Moose Jaw with 7:55 to go in the second.

Heading into the third, Dylan Duzan scored for the Warriors 5:48 into the third period to give Moose Jaw their first lead of the game.

As the Warriors were trying to kill off the final seconds, Stein stole the puck for Weyburn and scored a shorthanded goal with just seven seconds to play, salvaging the tie.

Cameron Beisal was in goal for Moose Jaw in the tie.

The Warriors were supposed to face the Wings on Saturday in Weyburn, however, the game was postponed until a later date.

Moose Jaw is back in action next Wednesday when they face the Broncos in Swift Current.

In other SAAHL action, the Midget AA Warriors fell 3-0 to the Melville Millionaires on Saturday afternoon at the Bert Hunt Arena. The Warriors head to Lumsden on Thursday.

The Moose Jaw Peewee B Oilers picked up some hardware over the weekend as they won the 'A' side final at the Mossbank Tournament.

The Oilers secured a narrow 5-4 win over the Avonlea Thunder in the final on Saturday to walk away with the title.

Kasen Watterson and Maguire Payne had a goal and two points each in the win, while Deklan Gillis, Carter Fortin, and Jaxen Froehlich also scored for the Oilers.

Froehlich potted the game-winning goal with 10:30 left in the third period.

The Oilers are 1-2 this season in Moose Jaw Minor Hockey’s Peewee B Division. They're back in action next Tuesday against the Stars.

The Moose Jaw Bantam A Mavericks stayed undefeated with a 7-4 win over the Swift Current Colts on Sunday afternoon at the Credit Union Iplex.

Moose Jaw now sits at 11-0-0 this season in the Saskatchewan Female Hockey League.

Paytin Copeland, Janelle Evans, Ember Dusomme, and Nikita Halyk scored four straight goals to open the first period before Ava Geissler ended the bleeding for Swift Current in the final minute of the frame.

Sadie Keller scored early in the second to cut Moose Jaw's lead down two goals.

Swift Current would battle back to tie the game early in the third period on goals from Paisley Arntsen and Teagan Paul, but just under six minutes later, Halyk picked up her second of the game on the power play to put Moose Jaw in front for good.

Taylor Luciak scored with 3:39 to extend Moose Jaw’s lead to 6-4 and Copeland picked up her second of the game with 55 seconds left in the third to seal the win.

Moose Jaw goalie Brooke Archer picked up the win in net.

The Mavericks return to the ice on Thursday when they host the Estevan Bearcats at the Bert Hunt Arena. Puck drops at 7 p.m.

The Moose Jaw Atom A Red Warriors rolled to a big win on Sunday afternoon at the Bert Hunt Arena, as they topped the Regina Cougars, 12-4, in Hockey Regina action.

Carter Hudyma had a hat trick and seven points, while Austin Smith added four goals and six points in the win for the Red Warriors. Nate Lewko picked up two goals, while Luke Pratte, Suliman Suliman, and Max Craig also found the back of the net.

Brodyn Pladson had three assists, while Lachlan Clark added two helpers in the win.

Hayden Nidesh was in goal for the Red Warriors in the victory.

The Red Warriors sit first in the Hockey Regina League with a 6-2-1 record this season. They're off from league play now until Dec. 22 when they host the Regina Capitals at the Bert Hunt Arena.

The Atom A Warriors were in action on Saturday, falling 5-3 to the Lumsden Lions at the Bert Hunt Arena.

The loss puts Moose Jaw's record at 2-2-0 so far this season. They're back on the ice next Thursday in Regina against the Tigers.

In other Hockey Regina action over the weekend, the Midget A Warriors lost 19-1 to the Notre Dame Hounds.
