The provincial government announced 1,027 new cases of COVID-19 on Tuesday, along with 661 recoveries and no new deaths.

The new cases are located in the Far North West (13), Far North East (9), North West (36), North Central (39), North East (15), Saskatoon (378), Central West (15), Central East (71), Regina (224), South West (18), South Central (49) and South East (35) zones and 125 new cases have pending residence information. Of the new cases in the South Central zone, 44 are in the South Central 2 subzone that includes Moose Jaw and the surrounding area.

8,229 cases are considered active and 390 cases are considered active in the South Central zone. 296 cases are active in the South Central 2 subzone.

121 people are in hospital with COVID-19 including 110 receiving inpatient care and 11 in ICU. Of those receiving inpatient care, 57 are COVID-19-related illnesses, 44 are incidental, asymptomatic infections and nine are yet to be determined. 10 ICU admissions are COVID-19 related while one is an incidental, asymptomatic infection.

The provincial also announced several COVID-19 tickets that were issued at the end of December and beginning of January, including a $2,800 ticket to Sweet Treats Candy Company in Moose Jaw for failing to mask.
