115 new cases of COVID-19 were announced Thursday, along with 96 recoveries, and one death.

The one Saskatchewan resident who tested positive and died was in the 80 plus age group from Saskatoon.

Of the new cases, 3 are in the south-central zone, 65 are in Regina, 15 are in Saskatoon, eight are in the southeast, five in the central-east, four in the northwest, three in the north-central zone, three in the northeast, three in the southwest, two in the central-west, and one in the far northwest. Three cases are pending resident information.

1,282 cases are considered active, and all 37 active cases in the south-central zone are located in the sub-region 'south-central 2', which is made up of Moose Jaw and the surrounding area.

136 people are in hospital with 109 receiving inpatient care, and 27 are in intensive care.

The drive-thru immunization clinic in Regina is also now available to residents aged 60-64, 67, 68, and 69. It's expected that it will open to all residents in their 60's in the near future.

An additional 5,430 doses of COVID-19 vaccine have been given in Saskatchewan, bringing the total number of vaccines administered in the province to 118,195.

The 5,430 doses of COVID-19 vaccine reported today were administered in the following regions: Far North West (274), Far North East (131), North West (641), North Central (178), North East (54), Saskatoon (778), Central West (35), Central East (33), Regina (2,630), South West (431), and South East (245). Of the doses administered on March 17, 1,904 were delivered at the Regina drive-thru clinic location alone.
