One person is in custody after a stabbing Friday morning in Moose Jaw.  Police were called just after 1am after a man was taken to the hospital but as officers responded to the 800 block of 7th NE, the suspect had already fled.

A large manhunt was launched across the east side of the city and the K9 unit was able to track the area, finding the suspected weapon along with personal items. After several hours of searching, the man was finally found at a hotel on Thatcher Drive, near Main Street.

The adult male has been charged with Aggravated Assault and will be in court Friday morning. The victim was treated for serious but non-life threatening injuries.  No names have been released at this time.
