It’s time to clean up the streets of this city.

Annual street sweeping will begin Monday. The city will start the week on Main Street North and in the downtown metered areas between midnight to 6 a.m. As the days and weeks continue, high schools, Sask Polytech, the Fourth Avenue Thunderbird Viaduct and Ninth Avenues Northwest and Southwest will be the first cleaned. Then, the city will do arterial, collector streets and bus routes.

After that, the city will tackle the residential areas.

The city will post no-parking signs in affected areas 72 hours before sweeping, with the exception of downtown metered areas.

Anyone parking on the affected streets will face a fine of $90.

The street cleaning schedule may be affected by weather.
