For the second time in a week, a local driver has been arrested for being impaired behind the wheel with a child in the vehicle.

Sunday morning around 10:30, a vehicle was spotted travelling recklessly on the 200 block of Manitoba Street East and collided with several objects on the roadway.  Officers stopped the driver, who then tested three times higher than the legal blood alcohol limit. Luckily the child in the vehicle was not injured.

It was just the Sunday before that a driver was charged for being three times over the legal limit with five kids inside the vehicle after leaving a local restaurant.
