It was a chance for the community to come together, purchase some fresh produce and baked goods, and help out some very worthy causes. The 10th annual Charity Farmer's Market took place this past weekend hosted by the Yara Community Gardens.

The proceeds are split with half going to Hunger in Moose Jaw and Riverside Mission according to Organizer Jeremy Zacharias.

"The remaining 50% goes back into the Yara Community Gardens to help provide for some of the maintenance and help to keep the costs low for some of the folks."

Zacharias said the next fundraiser event for them will be a pumpkin harvest festival on September 30.
