Applications are now being taken to give free access to the City of Moose Jaw’s recreational facilities for those taking care of a friend or family member with a disability.

The membership will give a support person a complimentary pass at the city’s recreational facilities when they are accompanying a person or persons with a disability.

“The key principles that informed the development of the Policy include full participation, equality of opportunity, opportunity for independent living, and economic self-sufficiency,” said Derek Blais, Director of Parks and Recreation, in a press release.

Regular rates and fees would still apply to the person with the disability.

Application forms are available on the Memberships page on the city’s website or by visiting the Kinsmen Sportsplex or Yara Centre.
