One positive that comes with the excess moisture in the province, especially in the north, is a lower chance of forest fires.

The Saskatchewan Ministry of Environment says that due to the moisture, they predict an average season of forest fires.

With La Ronge and Buffalo Narrows receiving 20cm and Flin Flon receiving 28 cm, areas that are at the most risk for forest fires have above average moisture levels.

The Ministry of Environment says the snow should only last for a few days before it is gone.
