A Moose Jaw man was sentenced to nine months in jail earlier this week.

On Monday one of the three arrested back in November during a high-risk search warrant was back in court. Scott Bobbett was facing various charges, one of which was possession of a firearm, for which he entered a not guilty plea during a court appearance at the end of January. The Judge sentenced Bobbett to nine months in jail, giving credit to time served while remanded in custody during the court proceedings.

According to prosecutors, the file was concluded with a provincial jail sentence with six months for possession while prohibited, three months consecutive for possession of ammunition while prohibited, 30 days concurrent for a breach and 30 days concurrent for possession of a weapon.

Going forward he will only be behind bars for another three months, and he is also prohibited from having a firearm for ten years as a condition of his sentence.

The other two arrested during the search in November, Cassidy Atkinson and Chayden Warford, still have files before the courts at this time.
