Saskatchewan saw an increase of building permits given out this past November, as $181 million worth were issued.

This seasonally adjusted number is up 17.3% compared to November of 2016, the third highest percentage increase among the provinces.

The majority of this growth can be attributed to the number of non-residential permits being issued, which increased by 49.3%.

Economy Minister, Steven Bonk, said this is a good sign for the province's construction sector and the overall economy, as it shows Saskatchewan's continued strength.
