Canada Day may be several months away but there are several groups and organizations that have decided to take part in the year long celebration that is Canada 150.  The program encourages Canadians to celebrate the special milestone in our countries history.

Wednesday afternoon at the Moose Jaw Public Library, the Festival Of Words hosted Dr. Robert Blyth as apart of their Canada 150 Future Thinkers Speakers Series.  Blyth is the Science projects Manager at the Canadian Light Source, a national research facility in Saskatoon.

"We have one of the biggest machines that science has in Canada. What it produces is light, very intense beams of light including infrared light, ultraviolet light and X-rays that we use for a wide range of science that covers pretty much every different disincline that you can imagine." explained Blyth.

While the uses are almost endless, Canadian Light Source tries to solve issues in four main areas, which include energy, agriculture, environment, and health.
