As part of a tradition that started back in the 1760s, Moose Jaw's French Community will be taking to the streets Tuesday and making some noise in colourful clothing in a celebration called Tintamarre.

At 10 Tuesday morning, the Association Communautaire Fransaskoise will be hosting the parade. The parade will be making its from Co-op parking lot, ending at the Mae Wilson with the raising of the Fransaskoise flag.

According to bonjoursk.ca, there are nearly 700 people in Moose Jaw that recognize French as their first language with over 1900 speaking French and English on a regular basis.  Moose Jaw has three schools that offer a French learning environment including École Ducharme, Palliser Heights and École St. Margaret.
